Opel Meriva Concept Pictures Leaked February 27, 2008 05:44 By Gustavo Henrique Ruffo Although AstraForum.ro has not given us the credits, they have used one of our texts, “Opel Meriva Concept at the Geneva Motor Show”, to give their readers some information about the concept car that anticipates the next generation of the minivan. This has flattered us so much we felt we should return the favour (with credits!), showing our readers the pictures the Romanian website got first hand of the new vehicle. Leaked and surely the same ones Opel will release in the next few hours. The tips Opel has slowly released on Meriva’s appearance proved true: the concept car looks like a miniature Flextreme . In order for us to be sure on any Insignia resemblance, we will have to wait for the British Motor Show, in July. As it has already been informed by Opel and seen in some of our spy photos, the Meriva Concept will feature suicide doors at the rear. Called FlexDoors, they are supposed to bring greater flexibility to Meriva, since they will allow people to have better access to the interior. The explanation for this is simple: when the rear doors open from the B column, the passengers have direct access to the space between the front and the back seat. When it opens from the C column, the first thing the passengers have access to is the back seat itself. In order to get inside the car, the passengers have to open the doors widely or to contort their bodies a bit. Since we have mentioned the B column, this is a pretty good indication Opel is calling this Meriva a “concept”, but in fact it is almost ready for production. Check it out and tell us: do you remember any concept car that had a B column? Not even the Ford Verve had one, and no other concept in Ford history has been so certain for production as this little fellow. Újabb infók az új, 2009-ben megjelenő Meriva B-ről: Feast your eyes on the ‘Super Corsa’. This is Vauxhall’s striking new baby – a sleeker and more practical sister car to the popular supermini, which will offer buyers real flexibility and style when it goes on sale next year. Effectively replacing the Meriva in the firm’s line-up, the newcomer is a very definite step upmarket. It will go into battle with models such as VW’s Golf Plus, the MINI Clubman and Ford’s upcoming Fiesta-based MPV. As you can see from our exclusive pictures, which have been produced using insider information, the model drops the Meriva’s upright stance for something much more desirable. Its shape has been heavily influenced by the Flextreme concept, which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September. At the front, the model has the same pronounced grille, faired-in headlights and raised bonnet edges – a look that will also appear on the Vectra-replacing Insignia (see our new spy shots on Page 14). Its flanks get the same bold cut-outs as the Flextreme too, but it’s the rakish roofline – complete with panoramic glass – and rising waistline, which runs to the angled C-pillars, that really mark the newcomer out. Together with a roof spoiler and a sharply styled rear, the design is sporty compared to the traditional look of the supermini-MPV Meriva. In addition to our exclusive images, we can also reveal Vauxhall's first official sketch of the Concept Meriva. The drawing shows what to expect on the show stands of the Geneva Motor Show next month where the eye-catching hatchback will be revealed. Although our illustrations show a model with conventional back doors, there’s a possibility that the newcomer will feature Flextreme-style rear-hinged items to boost practicality. With suspension borrowed from the Corsa, the model will offer excellent agility and plenty of driver appeal. The newcomer will also use the super-mini’s engines, including 1.3-litre and 1.7-litre CDTI diesels and a 1.6-litre turbo petrol. Egy újabb kép az új, B-es Meriváról, nekem tetszik

Sziasztok! Egy kis segítséget kérnék: -egy Opel MERIVA szgk. van. A járgány eredetileg egy standard, 3 soros MID kijelzővel volt felszerelve, így a fedélzeti számítógép, természetesen, nem volt aktív. Ha jól tudom, az új típusú autókban a fedélzeti számítógép már benne van alapból, csak bizonyos feltételek kellenek hozzá, hogy működhessen: grafikus GID (vagy színes CID) kijelző, min CD30 MP3 autórádió (ez alapból benne van a kocsiban), továbbá a rendszert fel kell prógramozni (aktiválni kell). Mivel nagyon-nagyon fel akartam szerelni a járgányt az eredeti Opel fedélzeti számítógéppel, az e-bayen vettem egy használt, de teljesen működőképes GID grafikus kijelzőt a házával együtt, ami elengedhetetlen a fedélzeti BC aktiválásához. A vásárolt GID kijelzőt beépítettem, de most a következő problémát kell megoldanom: egyrészt párosítani kell a GID kijelzőt és a CD30 MP3 rádiót (mivel a GID egy másik rádióhoz volt párosítva, most Dispaly SAFE hibaüzenetet generál), továbbá aktiválni kell a fedélzeti számítógépet. A párosításhoz és az aktiváláshoz egy TECH2 műszerrel (esetleg a legújabb OpCOM-mal, de ebben nem vagyok biztos) rendelkező, jó szakember kellene nekem. Tudtok ajánlani valakit, aki segítene ebben a problémában, emberséges árral (az opel gyári szervízben először szóba sem akartak állni velem, de mivel erősködtem, beleegyeztek a programozásba, de horribilis áron). Sziasztok! Kiváncsian olvasgattam a topikot, és felmerült bennem egy kérdés: - van egy Z16XE motoros Opel MERIVA-m (2005-ös évjárat). Na már most, mint ismert, az EURO-IV motorok rendesen le vannak folytva, főleg ami az alacsonyfordulatszám tartományt illeti. Ez néha eléggé zavaró (főleg előzéseknél erősen irritál a "lomhaság", amig el nem éri a 3000 fordulatszám tartományt). Ezért, mint ahogyan a népi mondás is szól (segíts magadon, és isten is megsegít :-) ), elgondolkodtam egy kis "finomhangoláson". Szétnéztem a neten, találtam is egy érdekes tuning portalt (mtuning.hu), ott - ha igaz - egy kicsit tudnának finomítani a motorbeállításokon. Kérdés a szakikhoz: érdemes-e belevágni, vagy esetleg van jobb ötletetek?

A neten megjelentek az új, 2008-as modellévű Opel MERIVA képek: Hát nem tudom, szerintem ez valami OCSMÁNYSÁG!!! Az eleje tiszta Opel Astra H, a fara meg az új Opel Zafira B, a kettő együtt meg.... Látszik, hogy mig a 2003-as Merivát külső, valóban profi dizájnerek tervezték, úgy a 2008-ra tervezett új Merivát viszont az Opel gyári mekmesterei. Valaki szoljon már oda nekik, hogy térjenek észhez! (én is boldog Meriva tulaj vagyok, nekem tetszik a kis családi kedvenc, de ezt az újjat nem venném meg).
